Praying for God’s Favor

Asking for the favor of God on your life:

We can pray with confidence that the Lord wants to give favor to our lives:

Psalm 44:1

You are my King and my God, You command victories for your people.

Isaiah 30:18 (Amplified version)

– – “And therefore the Lord (earnestly) waits (expecting, looking and longing) to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you.

For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who (earnestly) wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him (for His victory, for His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship)!”

Psalm 84:11

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

1 Peter 5:6

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Job 33:26

He prays to God and finds favor with him, he sees God’s face and shouts for joy; he is restored by God to his righteous state.

Psalm 5:12

For surely, O LORD , you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalm 90:17

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands.

Psalm 106:4

Remember me, O LORD , when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them.

Isaiah 49:8

[ Restoration of Israel ] This is what the LORD says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances…”

2 Corinthians 6:2

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”[ 6:2 Isaiah 49:8] I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
