Blessed Easter greetings & a few fun ideas from Pam and Bill Farrel

Just quick note to say we are “hopping”you are having a delightful Easter weekend! We are with family, and really enjoying time with our grandkids! Recently, I (Pam) caught a tidbit of a TV commercial for the Arts and seems those children and teens who engage in the arts have a higher graduation rate! And while writing 7 Simple Skills for Every Woman: Success in Keeping It All Together,I came across a series of scientific studies that shared some commonsense statistics—children who have a strong sense of their family story, their heritage, make better choices as teens and young adults. So here is an idea, pull out the crayons, colored pencils, and pens and color with your kids and grandkids and share stories from your growing up days, stories of your family tree, and stories of faith. (If you are a far-flung family, use face-time, Facebook Messenger or Zoom for a video chat and invite your extended family to join in the conversation.)

My friend, and co-author of my newest book, Discovering Joy in Philippians: A Creative Bible Study Experienceis Karla Dornacherand she has some awesome freebieseach month if you are signed up for her newsletter. (Check out this Easter Kid’s coloring page)

Speaking of Discovering Joy, you will love the rich bible study penned by my co-author Jean E Jones, and it is my prayer that my “Choosing Joy!” devotionals will help you apply the Word in a way that you can FIND and HOLD on to JOY! Official launch day is May 14,  and I invite you to pick up a copy at AMAZON or a signed copy thru  Love-Wise. (A great gift for Mother’s Day) And If you are a church leader/Bible study teacher, we offer discounts when you bulk order for your group.)

If you are looking for some great preaching of the Easter story with a unique slant, watch Bill’s sermon The Great Disruption, which shares how often the BEST BLESSINGS  feel like HUGE (and often challenging) disruptions. Listen and hear how God turns disruptions into divine appointments.

Lastly, be sure to take your family to church. And maybe invite some pre-believing friends and give others the opportunity to know Jesus too! Then enjoy Easter lunch with family or friends—AND be sure to also enjoy Easter afternoon with your spouse too. Take a “nap”, take a stroll in a beautiful setting, take time to push pause at sunset and thank God together in prayer for Christ’s marvelous, wonderful, disruption of your life—the day of your salvation, His leading through His Word, and His transforming, redeeming love, that empowers you to love your mate, your family, and your friends.

We cherish the resurrection power of Easter. (Watch/listen to our story of how God transformed us!)

Praying this verse over your Easter:

“…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”(Romans 6.4)

Blessed Easter!
